I picked up a few cute PEWs from my local shop and am hoping to experiment with them I currently have housed

3 PEW Does
1 PEW Buck
1 Pied Black Doe
1 Golden Agouti Doe

I am trying to see which ones are true albinos and which have hidden color. As for the other 2 I am just wanting to see what pops out of thier breeding.

Please dont tell me how i shouldnt do this pairing like i said its all experimental and i most likely wont keep any out of these pairings i am more interested in the whole white factor.

All albinos have hidden colour my dear.
yes i know that. But some produce only albino stock while others are just an unmarked marked mouse. and still produce colored stock

Thats what i am getting at...
I can say with almost 100% certainty, that any PEWs you got at a pet store in the US, are c/c, and not pink eyed high whites. :p

It's likely that they are hiding agouti, black, recessive spotting, or possibly RY.

Albinos will produce coloured stock. They always do, when bred to a mouse that isn't, or is not carrying albino. :p
So what is the genetic code for a pink eyed high white? Would it be a/a - c/c- p/p and contain both the pink eyed gene and the albino c dilution? I know c and p are thought to be linked.
it would not be c/c.

It would be s/s p/p where the spotting covered the whole body.
well since your only "almost 100%" im still doing it anyway as an experiment on my own and not go off someone "assumptions".....

It's likely that they are hiding agouti, black, recessive spotting, or possibly RY.
And yes i know that thankyou for stating what i have already been informed of... thats why i said

But some produce only albino stock while others are just an unmarked marked mouse. and still produce colored stock
No, you're mistaken. No albino mouse produces only albino stock, that's what I'm trying to tell you.
I think the 3 PEW does paired with a PEW buck will give you all PEW babies. Pairing up the PEW buck with the Black Piebald doe will give you the best results as to what your PEW buck IS under the appearance of white from the colors of his babies. If you get any spotted babies you'll know he was piebald or carrying piebald. With the Agouti pairing you could really get anything carrying a bunch of things so you're best test would be the black piebald doe.
yeah but wouldnt pied to a solid no matter what color even white still give pied?

nm.... I had a pied that gave me all agoutis...
Piebald is s/s, it is recessive spotting. So if you breed a mouse that is s/s (showing spots) to a mouse that is S/S (not carrying, or showing spots) then you will get all babies who are S/s (carrying, but not showing spots).
