As the co-founder of the club and forum, I'd like to welcome you!

The UMC (United Mouse Club) is an up and coming new club based on the east coast, that intends to help spread the joy of mice over the whole country. Focusing on hosting shows, and training and educating people to help host their own shows in areas that previously went without shows.

Please visit our new forum 'The Mouse Connection'!

http://themouseconnection.forumotion.com/

The UMC intends to hold its first ever show durring spring Rodent fest on April 28th 2012.
Please email [email protected] for more information about showing and getting a table at rodent fest. Please in your email include that you are interested in the mouse show, and hope that it has Rodent Fest's blessings!

As of now we do not have a yes or no, but it is sounding very promising!
Thanks!

could you give a brief explanation as to how you want this club to be different than existing clubs/why a new club is needed?

i don't mean to imply that your club isn't needed, just asking for some information to help people chose the club most useful to them.

The club's main focus is to be more active in training other members of the mouse fancy across the US to be judges, and teaching them how to run their own shows. The idea is that we may host shows all over the country, even though we are based on the East coast. :)

We also have slightly different standards and awards than other clubs. For instance, we have a separate BIS awards for coat, markings, colour, overall, and kitten. This will give people who have, for example, a BEAUTIFUL angora coat, on a less typey mouse, the ability to easily compete for a title, without having to worry so much about never being able to achieve perfect type while focusing on coat quality. The same goes for marked mice. :)

This club also focuses on unity, and uniting everyone in the fancy because really we've all got the same interests, and focuses, but for some reason we seem so divided at times.

Thank you for your questions!
