I've been to many animal shows of varying descriptions over the years but I've not seen a for sale table the last few years at london champs? So as above really.... I am looking to buy, is there likely to be anything up for sale on the day (I'm going tomorrow)

Thanks fellow rodent peeps,

Is there any reason WHY there might not be a sales-table? In Finland, people would be pretty mad if some show didnt have... And probably it would be arranged anyway, because most breeders always bring something to sell. It's a good way to get some of the traveling costs covered, because lot of people come to the shows just to buy pets, and dont really care of the show itself.

They do have animal's for sale at this show normally Hamsters and Guinea pigs. I honestly don't know why we dont have a show table, so its best to pre arrange anything you wanted to pick up. Some times if your lucky some breeders might sell there stock to you after the show.

the show might not have obtained the relevant license for sales.
Provided there are no companies (i.e people who hold a pet shop license) selling then the sale of animals is legal BUT the animals have to be either bred by the seller or surplus breeding stock. The minute the show is licensed it becomes illegal and you'll have animal-anti's on you like a ton of bricks.
Councils won't grant day pet shop licenses. London Champs counts as a breeders meeting and so it would be perfectly legal for exhibitors to have sale animals present at the show, on a table, on the day. It's the fact that it is a breeders show that makes such sales legal.
Certainly as has been pointed out there are always gerbils, hams and guineas etc for sale.
I assume that the lack of for sale table has more to do with not aggravating animal rights nuts than anything.
I still haven't heard back from the people that said they had mice so I'm PRAYING some one will have some surplus when we get there later :(

If any lovely breeder reads this and has a trio or three of show mice they can spare I will love you all hugely.
