As soon as I make sure the mites are gone I want to get some breeding rats. We have some beautiful females at work and I want to figure out the color of one. She is pictured next to an agouti hooded rat. She is the lighter of the two.

And she's not beige that I can tell. She's too dark to be a beige. She's almost like a grayish brown or brown blue. I'll try to get a better pic

If she has ruby eyes then she's mink. If her eyes aren'y ruby then she's something else

If you get a mink with R/r (carrying ruby eyes) you get a havannah. They are really nice looking! I have a few here.
I don't think you're looking for an extra boy, but I have a havvanah boy that needs a home Jesse!
In fact I have a few that needs homes, and would be fine for breeding. You might even get a hairless pop up in a few gens.

I love hairless! I'm heading to work now so I'll snap a few pictures while I'm there. I need to make enclosures for the rats but that shouldn't take me long. I'm looking to get this girl,another female and a male.
