My female mouse gave birth on the 26th and today was the first time i felt comfortable taking them out and holding the babies. They are starting to grow whiskers and peach fuzz. When we took them out to hold them it seemed as though their skin was very dry. They seem to have flakes of white on them. We examined the flakes and they seem to be dried skin. None of my mice are itching or scratching so im assuming that the white flakes are neither mites or lice. Is it normal for the babies skin to flake? Is there something i should do? Could this be from the newspaper or bedding?

I was told its just dead skin it will clear up, its like our skin we are always shedding and growing new skin. most of my litters have had it and it started when the coat first started to come through but as it came through more it cleared up so nothing to worry about ;) its more noticable on dark pigmentation.
