one of My Siamese Does died this morning she was very big and about to give birth,when I got up this morning she was bleeding alot and just lying there and I kept her warm but she died while I was looking over her.I knew she was going to give birth but when I got up she wasnt moving and breathing heavily 5 minutes later she died.I lost the Doe and the unborn babies this has never happened to me before,at least she died peacefully.What could of been the cause?

Really sorry to hear that.

I guess there's alot of complications that can arise when mice have babies, the in's and out's of which I'm no expert on. I have, however, had similar happen and managed to perform a number of caesarians on the mothers (after the are gone) and save the babies by nannying to other mice. Handy if the babies are important to breeding projects.

I've only had that happen about two or three times in thirteen years. It's awful! And there's really nothing you could do about it. Sorry for your loss. *hug*

Thank you everyone its a shame loosing a good Mouse and especially with a litter but it was Her time to go we have to just move on don't we.
