Hiya

Im just starting to learn the basics of mouse breeding. I have noticed its recommended that pregnant does should live with another "nanny" doe. My question is, is it safe to keep a pregnant doe with a larger group of females, say 5 or 6?

All our mice have been in their groups for a very long time and the group are well established. We even have a group of 6 sisters who get on everso well. If one of the sisters were to get pregnant, would keeping them together be ok, or would we need to remove her and keep her with just one other girl?

Thank you :D

I have had 5 females in with a pregnant female once and there was no problem except with the food, just keep a good eye on the mom as she will need extra food and nutriton and the other females may eat this before her.

they should be fine :) when the babies are born everyone usually just curls up together...
And they help mum supervise the kids while she has a break haha It can be exhausting for her otherwise
