i would like to know this too, in the uk
Yes in the UK.
I have read that couriers such as parcel force will not carry rodents but no reason was given as to why I am assuming that it is just in case they chew through their packaging and escape

Just an update I have had from a courior in the UK they do not do animals as they require special licensing rules to apply, in that all livestock must be fed and watered after so many hours in transit which many couriors do not have the facility or staff to do such a task.

As regards transporting boxes these must conform to minimum floor space requirements of the animals to be sent so for a single mouse it would need to be 200 sq cm if sending more than one depending on the weight of the actual animal the size would be if under 30g 60 sq cm over 30g 100 sq cm per animal, they must also be constructed in such a way that the animal can not chew or otherwise escape from its container.

As knowing how these couriors handle parcels of any type mostly automated which may involve the container falling some 30cm onto another conveyor belt or just being thrown from one person to another, so if you could find one that will transport your mice would you be happy if they treated the animal in such a way. There are a few that I know of that specialise in animal transport but I have found these to be very expensive although you are paying not just for the collection and delivery but for the animals to be cared for in so far as feeding and watering, provideing you supply the food and a suitable water receptacle.
