Ok I'm a complete softie!

I have spoken to the breeder and she has a doe available, i've always fancied one, but i'm going to need some big accomodation for her.

She MAY POSSIBLY, more than likely, arrive next week (after i have sorted out her accomodation)

I am not breeding these, i haven't the room, so she will be a spoiled, pampered pet...

Continental Giant Rabbit!

:D :D

I will update in due course.

The rabbit has to wait unfortunately. I need to buy it a BIG hutch or make one, because it needs somewhere secure when i am not around. I was thinking of having it more like a house rabbit, but these can be pretty destructive and i don't fancy wrecking my house!

However its gonna cost, whether i build one or buy one (even second hand) and my car is poorly and needs money spending on it.

So rabbit idea put on hold. Luckily the breeder was really good about it and has another litter that have just been born, so maybe by the time they are old enough i will have sorted this stuff out.

but for now ... :(

failing that y not have him in the house when you are home and when you go out buy one of those big dog cages ( the type to go in the back of cars) and put it in the kitchen with shavings food water ect and that can be its bed when you go out?? not sure how much the cages are and was just a thought???

I wasn't going to keep it in the house.

Its going to be kept in my garage, which is converted into a utility/games room. My G.pigs are house in there. But there is plenty to destroy, like my freezer and dryer and bikes!

the dog cage idea is a possibility, damn got rid of my dog cage when my pup had grown up!

I think we'll stick to the hutch idea, as i can put it neatly in the garage conserving space, and i can stack other hutches on top of it ;)

I keep my rabbit in a large dog crate during the day that I put a shelf in so he has somewhere to get up high and look around, and at night when I get home I let him out into his "playpen". I used those cube storage squares and zip ties and just fenced out an area rug, so he has room to run and move and exercise, but I don't have to worry about him getting near my electronics or under furniture.

Some keepers just use those X-pens you get for dogs and do the same thing I do with a playpen, without the cage to shut him in when I can't supervise him. If I get another bun and can bond them I'll probably make my playpen taller and do this so they can always move as they please.
