Mouse with a big bulge on his ass?

I bought these inbred white mice that are cute but apparently highly inbred. At one petco, they have normal asses. At another petco, the male mice (didn't check the females) ALL have this weird sumo-citrus looking bulge around their anus.

What. Does this mean that if this male mouse breeds with other female mice that I am going to get these prolapsed ass-mice?

It just looks like the mouse has a sumo orange for an ass. That's all. Should I get different mice.

Do you have any pictures? I think I have a similar problem and I’m wondering if we have the same kind of issue?
Also, I don’t plan to breed my mouse, only have one for a pet, but I’m just wondering more about the abnormality side of things you describe and if anyone else can speak to this. When looking at pictures to confirm sex I noticed other mice didn’t have the bulging bottom my boy does. He is a pet store mouse I wanted to give a shot at a happy life, and is otherwise healthy and seems to have no issues with going potty. I’ll try to upload a picture of his big bootie later when he wakes up! 😂
Hey guys, here’s the mouse bottom pictures I was hoping to get some opinions on, maybe the same as you Tomthecat. The bottom doesn’t seem red or irritated, just large and maybe malformed? I don’t think it gives him issues going poop, that seems to occur without trouble. But his bum grows in size and shrinks throughout the day. I have only had him a week (he could be a her as well, I’m not certain I’ve sexed him correctly 100%, but km waiting to hear back from the local small animal vet whose currently away. He seems to scratch a lot so I'm not sure if I should get testing done or just go ahead with ivermectin. He’s from a pet store so maybe not the healthiest but he’s go a 40 gallon home full of enrichment and he’s fairly hand tame and gets more so everyday. I’d love to give him a shot at a wonderful life but if anyone has any options, tips or thoughts I’d be very glad to know more. How often do you see your mice grooming or scratching and how often would you say is abnormal? Any thoughts on his bottom would be appreciated too! Also I can’t seem to figure out how to upload these pictures!?

I found this information and I’ll have to check with my vet when I can see them, but it appears it could be something like as listed here. Tomthecat, just thought I should mention these mice are said to be able to live normal healthy lives, and are often sexed incorrectly. I hope you still keep them even though they cannot likely be used for breeding. AFRMA - Medical - Vaginal Atresia In Mice: a.k.a. Vaginal Imperforation or Occlusion
Any chance you have tri or splashed in the mix with this one?
No, is that a trait seen in that colouring?
Mice are prone to tumors. Since there is generally nothing you can do about tumors in mice other than keep them comfortable (surgery is way too risky for such a small animal), I'd take it to the vet to rule out a cyst. If she's eating and drinking okay, she's more than likely comfortable, but since mice are pray animals, they don't show pain. She could be in a lot of pain and you wouldn't know about it.

Its weird because his bottom has gone back down to a regular size for a few days now. I did take him to the vet and by that point it looked normal again, so Im wondering now if he was just constipated? He is eating and drinking and playing happily so I don't think hes in pain. He does scratch alot so we are going to try Ivermectin, shes mixed it up to be a mouse friendly dose. Im a bit scared to give it to him but perhaps its better hes not itchy. Thanks for your reply!
