These are photos from a friend of mine who had a few mice a few years ago and showed me some photos. I am curious.


this one is similar to the once we used to call tricolor, you see this one has tan on the chin and under the front legs to the sides. I have been looking at photos of tricolor mice and that is so much diffirent from this :lol: What would you call this?

The first mouse is a broken black tan, which isn't a real tricolor but still cute. True tricolors generally are either broken splashed or broken sable. ;)

That first one is so cute; she has a fabulous deep orange belly. She's a marked black tan (tan means orange belly and is a^t or a^t/a^t). I wish I had a nice deep tan like that on one of my meeces! And that last one I'm not sure of; is it satin? If so, it's a marked satin agouti, which some do call golden agouti. And RDM is right, the tanned one is not a tricolor. Very cute, though.
