I had been thinking about having a few millipedes for some time now and, a couple of weeks ago on one of our many outings together, the lovely tratallen bought me a very pretty Ghana red banded millipede. Sadly, 'Priscilla' died shortly after she arrived at her new home. I don't know why, but it's probably down to stress as these millipedes are quite timid and can die quite easily from stress

Anyway, I was quite enamoured with Priscilla so I ordered three more Ghana red banded and one burmese beauty millipede from Virginia Cheeseman (whom I can highly recommend as an invert supplier, she's always been brilliant as is her stock). They arrived today looking very lively and healthy.

Well, for what my opinion is worth...... quite unlike those horrible cockroaches she keeps, I was rather taken by the Millipedes. They are very attractive and I was more than willing to handle them. I like them lots

Was thinking about millis last week was on that exotic pet websit elooking at them even tho i doubt i would buy anything fromt hem from what ive heard.

Which website Mark? I've bought most of my small invert collection from Virginia Cheeseman (just google her name and the website will come up) and she was fab.

Virginia Cheeseman is reliable, use TSS for scorps and spids. failing that there are a few good bods about on RFUK. I used to deal in quite large numbers of inverts.

I seen on you tube a giant Centipede killing and eating a mouse they are some size , they even can kill a venomous snake to.I knowthere not the same as the millipede but it made me remember about this creature

They LOVED the bug gel. People rarely give water to inverts that live in damp conditions because they have enough moisture to survive in the environment, but the truth where water is available they enjoy it:

What compost are you using? i used to use peat for g.snails, is it just the same for all inverts?
