I shall be there and will have mice entered
A reasonably local show for me so be rude not to go :D
Make yourself known and I'm sure you will get introduced around, always good to put names to faces.

Oooh, any bean spillage of what you're entering?

I'll jump up and down on a white unicorn wearing a tutu, think that will get me noticed :lol:

Nah, seriously, I'll be there somewhere :D
I'm entering silver greys.Taking them to a show today for a trial run.See how badly behaved they are.We will have our very recognisable dog with us,not in the rabbit/mouse area though they aren't allowed.Come and say hello.

No big secret on my variety for me as I only have two varieties and the argente are very new, I shall be entering black rumpwhites, what ages and how many i dont know but there will be at least one rumpwhite there from me. Today is cleaning/sort out day so I will pick my mice and my backups today.

But you know a tutu would work, definately get noticed ;)
Can anybody going post some pics please?
I'm still hoping to make it, but it's all weather permitting sadly, and if it carries on like it has been, it'll just be a day at home sorting everyone out instead for me.

Well we managed to get there in the end.

Was a nice show, but didn't think much of how the NMC put themselves across. They had a table with membership info on which I stodd gazing at and trying to look interested in, but they obviously didn't see me to try and get a new member.

Anyway, got some pictures of a few mice but not all were playing ball.

Agouti;

Argente;

Chocolate Tan;

Cinnamon;

Variegated;

Dutch;

Hereford;

Silver Grey;

Siamese;

And the NMC area;

Sadly I didn't stay for the results so not sure how they panned out.

Definitely worth while going to know what is looked for in exhibition mice, and also really good to see the colours and markings in "real life"

In big shows were there are other fancys showing it can be very busy and many people will come for a look who don't realy have any interest in mice but just having a look. So at those shows you realy need to stop some one to speak to if no one has noticed you.
We're all very friendly it's just big show it can get very busy with all the people, but a quick hello and your well in.
I had a person ask me about the club while at the reAl London so I went and found the Secretary for them to answer all there questions.
Locating relevant person/s at major big shows which have several fancies in the same hall is difficult for any possible newcomers but as PPVallhunds has stated NMC members are certainly a very friendly bunch and approachable.

Once you have met one member you soon get to know others as the day progresses and the number of shows you attend. Even if you were unfortunate to actually meet any at a major show always worth visiting more including the small mouse only ones just to meet others that breed and exhibit mice, where one can gain so much as less distractions from other fancies within the show hall.

Subscribing for the NMC news is also beneficial as many pics of members within and excellent articles to help even beginners to the hobby.

Roll on 9th November and the Manchester show/ (must remember to take pint mug with me this time).

Thanks Sarah, well judged ;)

And yes, you have to make yourself known if you want to speak to someone! Next time just ask someone who to speak to and they'll point you in the right direction.
