Just washed out the tank with detol and it still smells of it.
Is it ok to put the mice back now or should i re-clean it with something else??
Need answers fairly quickly as i want to move them to their new home

i wouldn't have thought using detol was a good idea, also, you'll need to air out the cage and get rid of the smell completely. If it stinks of it to you, imagine how much itll honk to the mice. It may even cause adverse affects to there breathing. Use an animal friendly cage cleaner that you can buy in most pet stores.

I re-cleaned it in the shower so that it didn't smell anymore they seem pretty happy in there tank which is now double the size

i used dettol surface cleaner for a while and it had no affect on the wee critters
