... I think she might be pregnant :lol: :D






This is my dominant adult doe who started showing the signs of pregnancy at the beginning of the week. It shouldn't be too long before she gives birth as she is nesting well already. She had 6 last time (her first litter) - any guesses how many she'll have this time (bearing in mind that an average harvest mouse litter is 4-5)?

I've got 2 adult pairs and I mixed the babies together when they were separated from their parents, but yes she is more than likely the mother of at least one of your does.

The first babies emerged briefly earlier this afternoon - Dave saw two (I saw one as the other had legged it :roll: ) so over the next few days I should get an idea of how many there are. I am not sure but I also suspect we have some more on the way.

The final count for this litter was 5, and I had another born last night. The babies in the photos are all reserved but the newborns will be available in 4-5 weeks' time if anyone is interested. :D
