Why not breed one line for showing and mix the other line in with your curlies and produce better type in them? Then you can keep both colours and really improve another line. If you bred the chams for showing and bred PEW astrex, then you can concentrate purely on the coat texture, curl longevity and general type and not have to worry about colour or tan vents or any of the million other colour worries, plus good PEW outcrosses for your astrexes will be easy to find.
