I have to choose, pew or chams??
I have some stunning pew's and chams (thanks to Heather) and I was going to run 2 lines of selfs but I don't really have the space time or energy because I'm also playing with astrex/texels and himis/siamese.
So the time has come, pew's or chams??

I wish I could, I could always try to show both and then see which one I prefer?
The problem with the chams is you need LOADS of stock because their colours vary SO much...I (personally) prefer the dark ones but it's not the show standard lol typical of me really :lol:

its your decision at the end of the day as if we choose for you you may regret it you need to do what you want to do. i know what i would look at is which i had made most progress with so far. also what you can cope with, like you said you think u need more stock for the champs if you can't cater for that then that gives you an answer. hope you make your decission without too much heart ache.
You could blend the chams into the whites/whites into chams.Whites are a variety under the pew mask.I keep a few chams and a few pinkeyed whites for my brindle breeding.Do you know what 'colour' your whites are.Mine are mainly chams with the odd silver and I breed them all together.Who did you get the whites from,that should reveal the answer.
oh you got them from Heather so you should be able to mix them up.As an additional thought if you do decide on just the one,you will need the pew for the himalayan project.
Personally I would go for PEW. but what ever you go for there's no reason you cant keep a pair or two of the other or as Sarah said pick a type of white that will work with the chams and run them all as the for one line
I'm hoping to get some Siamese and PEW as my two main variety's but I'm also looking to get some chocolate, black and fawn and maybe some tans as well to play around with

Why not breed one line for showing and mix the other line in with your curlies and produce better type in them? Then you can keep both colours and really improve another line. If you bred the chams for showing and bred PEW astrex, then you can concentrate purely on the coat texture, curl longevity and general type and not have to worry about colour or tan vents or any of the million other colour worries, plus good PEW outcrosses for your astrexes will be easy to find.
