Honley Agricultural show,June 11th.

well i came in third with an argente - behind SarahC's Pearls!! Again - very chuffed with that result in what was a large class. Roll on Midlands! x

Brilliant result Sarah. Pearls are the single most difficult variety in the fancy. I'm chuffed for you.

I should have guessed those pearls were yours Sarah. Dave B was showing them to everyone while the AOV judging was going on (I was helping Ruth steward). I had a lot of fun and learnt a lot on Saturday, so I'm very glad I went. I had lovely chats with Dave and Ruth, learnt to steward and also got more information on the different varieties than I could get from any book. Hope you all enjoyed my buns too! I still had a load left, I've been passing them around to the kids in my street. I love my little trophy and ribbon too, my family said they'd never seen such a smile on my face when I got home.

Also came home with another little ratty from Jake and Jan. He's settled in well with the other bucks!

I wish I could make Lubenham now.
