I have 2 male that i need to rehome. I am not one of these people that " cant be bothered" or " dont want them anymore" so i will explain exactley why i need to rehome them.

3 weeks ago i contacted a breeder as i was looking for 4 female mice. I had recently lost 2 females to old age and my big tank was looking empty with just 2 females so i thought i would get some more, quarenteen them and all being well put them in with my 2 females. All went well i got 4 beautiful females but after a week of settling them in we decided to get them out and have a good look at them. To our horror we noticed that 2 of them were in fact males  sadly it was to late and they had already mated with one of my females who was very tiny and died last week whilst giving birth :(

I have now put the 1 remaining young female in with my other 2 and they are all happy.

Now for the males, these need to be rehomed as they are currently in an emergency cage that i found in the loft and finding room for them has been a problem as i currently have the female mice, 3 chinchillas, 4 degus, a dog, a cat and a zebra mouse. I dont want any money for them all i want is a good loving pet home for them. They are now approximatley 10 weeks old, one is chocolate tan and the other is black and white. They are very skitty but with lots of tlc im sure they will become more confident. They have never bitten me. I want the both to be rehomed together, they do chase eachother around but they dont hurt eachother.

If anyone can offer them a loving home then please let me know, i live in stafford. They come with the cage but as i said its not the best as it was just one that i found in my loft ( thank god i had it lol) In an ideal world i would keep them myself but it wasnt my intention to have males aswell. sorry for the long post

Sorry to hear you had this experience with a 'breeder' - no half decent breeder would missex a mouse that was old enough to be away from its mother. I hope you find them a home soon.

I don't want to slate the "breeder" but was it anyone from here? if not where did you find this "breeder"? if they are selling male mice as females then maybe someone should tell them they are miss sexing them or tell them to join here and learn a bit more about mice before selling mice they don't know that much about before it gets out of hand...!

No dont worry it wasn't anyone from here, i saw an advert on the internet. I did try contacting them but they havnt replied to me  Im realy annoyed as im back to square one now, i still want more females for my cage as it just looks so empty, yet i need to rehome 2 mice which makes me feel guilty. I know it wasnt my fault but its put me in an awkward situation now. I just wish i could keep them myself but i cant

I hope I am not to late

I live in Burntwood in Staffordshire and if I talk to my mom nicely I might be able to have the guys as I have a few spare cages here.

Will have to pm you when I have spoken to my mom in a bit about it all, should be able to collect next week sometime as I am off to collect some more mice next week.

Will pm you very soon with the answer.
