these are not worried by humans and make great display pets as well as can be handled ( although I wouldnt let very young children handle them as they are tiny)

I keep mine in the shed with the mice (not in same tank though  )
they like to run about so a long tank or a tank with a wheel ;)
fill tank with enough hay and sustrait for them to burrow in and a few hides
Nothing to high as they are not good climbers.

I would so be interested, but very, very poor right now! hehe

So they would be okay with the cold winter temps? And what food do you give? I remember spotting these last year at some point on a youtube vid and think they are gorgeous, but there is hardly any info about them on the net, and most of it doesn't match!

They should be good in the shed in winter and summer, here is a snippet I found about the temps where they are found in the wild

Extremes can be recorded in the summer of up to 40 °C (104 °F) and in winter, -40 °C (-40 °F).

I am guessing the burrows they make will protect them from the extream cold in winter and the heat so in summer if the shed gets hot you might have to be careful but in winter as long as they have enough hay they should be fine :O)

I have not owned lemmings long but mine seem to be doing very well on the diet I was recomended which is degu mix or chinchilla and carrots, hay, kurly kale, and other greens.

Are those legal in the US? Those have to be the most adorable non-mouse rodent I've ever seen. I WANT ONE! /dramaticcrybabyface
I dont know if you can keep them or not in the US sorry :? I would guess you could??

I have another litter of these ready in a couple of weeks time. I think I have 1 male two females available but I will double check the sexes in the next day or two.
