We had 9 babies born on December 18th to our 2 amazon tree boas that we got at the beginning of last February......over the past 2 days all of them have shed and look amazing! :D These are the first snakes we've ever bred (though we've both bred other reptiles)...and we are SOOOOO excited about them!

This is mom, Tequila Rose

Do I see umbilical cords? I know ATBs are live-bearing snakes...

I like the orange one best.
technically its not an umbilical cord....its where their yolk sacks were :) Even egg laying reptiles hatch with a spot where their yolk sacks were.
That's what I thought (that snakes wouldn't/couldn't have one). It's interesting to me that the yolk sack stays on after shedding. Hmm...
it doesnt......look again...lol
I thought this was before and after?

no, those are both before....the after pics are after it says after shed
Oooh, ok. That makes sense. Dang, I'm not with it tonight! :p
What big eyes they have! lol
GORGEOUS !!! Makes me miss my girl.. Favorite is the 2nd orange and of course your fav. the 2nd orange looks to be male, going by taper ad length , is that correct, can you probe? I would be interested if you are in Us and would ship. I love these little gems!!
Thanks!

You can't tell gender on atb's this young...and most people will not probe them till they are a year old. Probing is also something i've not yet learned to do....lol These guys all have insanely long, and very prominent, tails.

At this time I'm planning on selling any we don't keep locally...if I don't have to ship them I'd rather not...especially this young and in the middle of winter.
Cool, too cool agreed, Yes they always have the crazy long everything but it seems some have very pronounced tail stops . Probly need a poop.
Most of their vents are hidden in the photos, which is why you don't see it on some of them....they all have very pronounced vents.
Wow, where are you located and are you going to be looking for mums and dads for those little ones? hint hint hint
I'm in Allentown, PA....some wll deifnitely be available....but I don't want to ship them if I can avoid it.
Aw, I understand though. Shame I am not closer I would love to get one of the oranges!
Such pretty things!
very gorgeous how are they temperament and size wise compared to the GTP? i like both species and would absolutely love to get one (and your close too) but i have to wait for now.
they're smaller, but still usually bitchy....lol average adult size is 4-6 foot. Most of the babies shouldn't be aweful temperament wise as we are trying to handle them a lot :) My favorite is a sweety so far....it acts more like a corn snake than a tree boa....lol
