I have an American line of show mice where the C- and P-loci are linked at "c" and "p" (default is "c" and "P"). What this means is that dove X dove often gives PEW who are genetically a/a c/c p/p or doves who are a/a C/c p/p.
I recently acquired a Dutch (the country, not the marking) line of show mice where the C- and P- loci are linked at "cch" and "p" (default is "cch" and "P"). These mice are A/A cch/cch p/p.
I crossed them and got babies who look like this:
(Regulation Maxey for size/color comparison.)
They are A/a cch/c p/p, which is very light, but not quite white. You can only barely see their ticking. I'm crossing them back to their argenté crème parent when they're old enough, or perhaps to each other.
