Here are some pictures of the cornerstone of our mousery, Daryl, in his prime.

All of our current agouti and cinnamon mice descend from him. His father was a PEW and mother a cinnamon and he really captured the size and type (66 grams not fat) of his father with the color we needed to continue our lines. He was first and foremost a gentleman and true ladies man. Usually our boys don't care if their lady is receptive or not, they get to it. Daryl always waited until they came to him, no pressure and they all loved him for it. Here's some pictures of some girls laying on him within the first day of being paired.

He passed earlier this month at a little over two years old, not bad for a big lazy boy. In breeding we all need to keep that certain distance but sometimes it can't be helped and I got very attached. He did so much for us and I'm happy to be surrounded by his offspring. Last pictures will be of him as an older man, him in with his last lady and the current litter she had at a week old.

His last litter ever and not one single fully pigmented tail...thank you genetics!

Thank you so much! Yes that's the same guy! We changed our mousery name since joining the forum years ago since said five cats are aging. It's been wonderful having these new guys especially, nothing heals better than a baby meece ❤
