Sadly, my black and tan texel buck, "Schtunkie", died either Sunday night or Saturday morning. He was two years old and had a succession of health problems beginning in January. Our vet was able to treat each problem, but as one issue resolved, another would develop. The last few days he was eating and drinking, but sleeping most of the time. He was a dear little pet; tame, curious, and enjoyed having his cheeks rubbed, ears scratched, and taking Cheerios out of our fingers. We miss him.

Thank you for your reply. It's amazing how much someone can miss a pet that was a little over an ounce. I guess there was a big soul inside that tiny furry body.
Absolutely. Isn't it strange how one can love a mouse so much but then see people who feed them to snakes alive, poison, and torture on purpose? I think it shows you are a very caring person to love such a small creature.
